Author Bio

SAHLE ROBINSON loved drawing since he could hold a pencil. As a professional story artist and character concept designer for television and feature film animation, he’s worked on popular productions such as How to Train Your Dragon, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Sahle was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, where he lives and runs an art store providing art lessons and workshops with his wife and six children. This is Sahle’s second published picture book.

Biographical note

Treslyn Vassel is a lifelong reader who fell in love with the power of stories at a young age—so much so, she even read books upside down. In Grade 10, after her English teacher added her name to the “wall of authors”, it was official! She knew she was going to be a writer.
She went on to spend 15 years in education, where the voices, questions, and hearts of her students became the greatest source of inspiration. Now, she writes stories for children that invite reflection, spark connection, and stay with readers long after the final page. Nahliya and the Lady is her picture book debut.
Treslyn lives with her family in Toronto, Ontario, where she finds joy in nature, travel, and finally fulfilling her place on that classroom wall.

Sahle Robinson is a children’s book illustrator and series director, senior storyboard artist, and character concept designer for television animation. Based in Toronto, Robinson, his wife, and his children also contribute to various community art-related projects.
