Author Bio
Sal Sawler is a children’s author living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Their early books were shortlisted for the Forest of Reading and Hackmatack and earned a Moonbeam Children’s Book Award. Their debut picture book, When the Ocean Came to Town, was featured on CBC Canada Kids Reads.
Nandita Ratan is a Vancouver-based illustrator from Hyderabad, India. With a keen interest in printed work, she began her career designing for events and various editorial clients. When she isn't drawing, she spends her time enjoying the sunshine, drinking copious amounts of tea and talking to her plants.
When she is not busy reading or leading historical walks as a volunteer, Isabelle Montagnier really enjoys translating children’s books, with a marked preference for stories that deal with important topics. Certified by ATIO and full member of LTAC, Isabelle lives in Toronto, Ontario.

Originaire d’Hyderabad en Inde, l’illustratrice Nandita Ratan habite à Vancouver. Passionnée par tout ce qui peut être imprimé, elle a commencé sa carrière en tant que graphiste pour divers clients éditoriaux. En dehors du dessin, elle passe son temps à profiter des journées ensoleillées et à parler à ses plantes.
Lorsqu’elle n’est pas en train de lire ou d’animer bénévolement des visites guidées historiques, Isabelle Montagnier adore traduire des livres pour enfants, tout particulièrement ceux qui racontent des histoires poignantes. Membre agréée de l’ATIO et membre de plein droit de l’ATTLC, Isabelle habite à Toronto, en Ontario.
