Apply to Host
If you have an audience of kids or teens who want to be inspired by creators of great books, you could be the perfect host for a Book Week event! Hosts get the chance to have in-depth discussions with one of Canada’s talented authors, illustrators, or storytellers.
Here’s who can apply to host a Canadian creator for our upcoming Book Week tour:
- Schools
- Family centres
- Public libraries
- Homeschooling associations
- Community groups
- Other organizations involved with Canadian youth books and literacy
- Literacy Networks
NOTE: Book Week 2025 will take place in a hybrid format with creators touring in person, virtually, or a combination of both.
Eligibility
All Canadian schools, libraries, bookstores, community centres, and community organizations are eligible to apply to host a Book Week visit.
Important Dates
We announce our tour roster in November each year. The host application process opens in December/January. The application deadline typically falls in mid-January to early-February, 3-4 months before the start of Book Week.
