Welcome to the CCBC’s searchable book bank!
Featuring the NEW online Best Books for Kids & Teens database and our Accessible Books Bank.
Best Books for Kids & Teens
The go-to resource for the best new Canadian books and magazines for children and teens. Whether you're stocking a bookshelf in a classroom, library or at home, every title included has been given our stamp of approval, ensuring you get only the highest quality literature. Starred selections represent titles of exceptional calibre.
Our expert committees of educators, booksellers and school and public librarians from across Canada handpick the selections. Committees look for excellence in writing and illustration and, most importantly, they select books that appeal to children and young adults.
Accessible Books Bank
Discover titles that are available as ebooks, audiobooks, large print, braille, and more. Check back often for new books and helpful links. See our Accessible Books Bank FAQ page for more information on the Accessible Books Project and this resource.
Where possible we vet titles or ensure books are produced by Benetech certified publishers (an independent third-party digital accessibility certification program). However, we cannot guarantee that every title will meet the needs of every reader. If you have feedback on the books listed, please reach out to info@bookcentre.ca
