Finalists announced for the 2025 Alberta Literary Awards

On April 1st, the Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA) announced the finalists for the 2025 Alberta Literary Awards. Each year, the Alberta Literary Awards celebrate the highest standards of literary excellence from Alberta authors. Readings with the finalists will take place at two events. On Friday, April 25, readings will take place in Calgary at the Residence Inn by Marriott (610 10th Ave. SW) at 7 pm, and on Sunday, May 4, Audreys Books in Edmonton (10702 Jasper Ave.) will host readings starting at 2 pm. The winners will be announced in Calgary on Friday, June 6 at the Alberta Literary Awards Gala, which takes place the same weekend as WGA's annual spring conference. The finalists for the R. Ross Annett Award for Children’s Literature are listed below.
