The International Youth Library (IYL) has released the White Ravens 2025 catalogue. Published annually, this year's edition features 215 new children’s and young adult titles in 49 languages from 63 countries. The books are selected by the IYL’s children’s literature experts from the large number of review and donation copies the library receives in the course of one year. The team focuses on titles that might be of interest to an international audience because of their literary and pictorial quality and/or the topics they address.
The IYL team will present some of the books from the 2025 list at the Frankfurt Book Fair on Wednesday, October 15. To download the 2025 catalogue, click here.

About the International Youth Library
The International Youth Library is the world’s largest library for international children’s and youth literature. Founded in 1949 by Jella Lepman, it has grown to become an internationally recognized centre for children’s and youth literature. Our work is guided by the conviction that children’s and young adult books are an essential part of the cultural life of a society and a country, and as such must be preserved, documented and shared. We particularly care about the promotion of international cultural exchange and the cultural education of children and young adults.
