
Toronto (June 3, 2025) — Are you a published Canadian author or illustrator who is passionate about connecting with and inspiring young people? If so, you are invited to apply to participate in the next edition of Canadian Children's Book Week which will run from Sunday, April 26 to Saturday, May 2, 2026!
Canadian Children’s Book Week is the single most important national event celebrating Canadian books for kids and teens and the importance of reading.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples of the land that is now called Canada.
- Applicants should ideally have at least two books published in Canada or internationally.
- Applicants will be given priority consideration if they:
- have a book published in 2025 and/or
- will have a book published in 2026 before Book Week.
Authors and illustrators who toured in 2024 or 2025 are not eligible to apply.
This event will offer you the opportunity to engage with youth across the country to celebrate books, stories and illustrations.
