Anne of the Library-on-the-Hill by Catherine Little, with illustrations by Sae Kimura (Plumleaf Press) made the longlist. The shortlist will be announced later this summer, and the winner will be announced at a gala event on October 15. This year, the award carries a cash prize of $20,000 to the winner, with each of the remaining shortlisted titles receiving $2,000.
