We Need Diverse Books has announced the winners and honour books for the 2025 Walter Dean Myers Awards for Outstanding Children's Literature. Presented annually in two categories—teen and young readers—the prize honours author Walter Dean Myers, as well as the celebration of diversity in children's books. A Crane Among Wolves by Canadian author June Hur (Feiwel & Friends) has been named a 2025 Honour Book in the teen category.
