Announcing Staffing Changes at the Canadian Children’s Book Centre
July 4, 2023 (Toronto): The Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Board of Directors announces two staffing changes.
Executive Director Sarah Sahagian has moved on from the CCBC to pursue other opportunities. “We want to thank Sarah for her hard work and contributions during her time here,” says Urve Tamberg, president of the CCBC’s Board of Directors. “We wish her well in her future endeavours.”
Meghan Howe, the CCBC’s long-time Library Coordinator, has been named Director of Operations, a move that reflects her roles and responsibilities within the CCBC.
Further, during the transition period, Meghan will be leading the CCBC's day-to-day operations and working closely with the Board to maintain all CCBC activities and programs to the high-quality level the CCBC is known for.
The organization's process of recruiting a new Executive Director has already begun.
Tamberg says, “We, the Board of Directors, look forward to working with Meghan in the next few months. We are committed to ensuring the continuity of the CCBC operations as we move through this period of transition. We have every confidence in our current highly qualified staff and we are supporting the team as they continue to carry out the CCBC’s mandate of bringing quality Canadian books to young readers through our wealth of programs and resources.”
