Since 2000, the Canadian Children’s Book Centre has given every Grade One child in Canada a free Canadian children’s picture book through our TD Grade One Book Giveaway Program. This year, despite having tried to accommodate the York Region District School Board—one of the biggest school boards in the country—by removing the TD Bank logo from the front cover, they have once again prevented the book from being distributed to the 10,000 Grade One students in their region.
