‘What if James found the Giant Peach in today’s Toronto?’

As part of their celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl‘s novel James And The Giant Peach, Small Print Toronto invites writers between 8-12 years old to take part in a citywide short story writing contest.

Craft a short story (max 1500 words) about what would happen if James, an orphan living in today’s Toronto, discovered a Giant Peach filled with friendly creatures. Send it to roalddahlday@smallprinttoronto.org by Friday, October 15, 2011.

Judges will award prizes to the top stories at the 2nd annual Toronto Roald Dahl Day at The Gladstone Hotel on Sunday, October 23, 2011. The winning tale will be published in Book Madam & Associates Magazine Want details? Go to www.smallprinttoronto.org.
