“The Environmental Imagination and Children’s Literature” is a conference that will take place on March 5 and 6, 2010 at Trinity College, University of Toronto.
On the model of the 2007 “Particles of Narrative,” this will be an intensive one day conference that explores the idea of the ‘environmental imagination’ in children’s literature from a variety of perspectives and concludes with a panel involving all of the speakers.
Speakers include authors David Almond, Kevin Crossley-Holland, Sarah Ellis and Tim Wynne-Jones, as well as Professor Lawrence Buell of the Department of English, Harvard University and Professor Marguerite Holloway of the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University.
