Serendipity 2012 – Year of the Dragon: Asian Themes for Young Canadian Readers (Register Now!)

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, February 25, 2012 the Vancouver Children’s Literature Roundtable (VCLR) presents Serendipity 2012 – Year of the Dragon: Asian Themes for Young Canadian Readers. The event will take place from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (includes lunch & snacks) at the University of British Columbia in Room 100 of the Neville Scarfe Building. Featured speakers/guests include Paul Yee, Lisa Yee and Allen Say, Tanya Lloyd Kyi (winner of this year’s Information Book Award), Corrine Robson and Marjorie Coughlin (editors of PaperTigers.org), Joseph Wu (origami master) and Shiamak’s Bollywood Dancers. Early bird registrations are being accepted through January 31, 2012. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate literature, literacy, and the Year of the Dragon in a fun and entertaining fashion!

New to the Serendipity weekend this year is the Gala Evening being held of Friday, Febrary 24, 2012 from 6:30pm-9:30pm ($50).
