It is with deep sadness that we announce that artist Rachel Berman passed away on May 28, 2014 at her home in Victoria, BC. Born and raised in New Orleans, Berman worked as an artist in the US, Canada and Ireland. She illustrated three Canadian children’s books – Pigmalion by Glenda Leznoff (Crocodile Books), Bradley McGogg, the Very Fine Frog and Miss Mousie’s Blind Date, both by Tim Beiser (Tundra Books). Berman was nominated for the Governor General’s Literary Award in 2009 and 2013.
