For the 19th year, the MASC Young Authors and Illustrators Conference offers an enriching learning experience for students in Grades 4 to 8 with a special interest in writing and illustrating. From April 21—23, 2010, at St. Paul University, Ottawa, students will work with some of Canada’s most recognized authors and illustrators of children’s literature, including Frieda Wishinsky, Richard Scrimger, Ruth Ohi, Lee Edward Födi and Caroline Pignat. Cost is $45.

MASC is an Ottawa-based not-for-profit organization that brings professional artists to schools and other community settings. Each year, MASC gives performances and workshops to 140,000 children, youth and seniors.

Deadline for registration is Sunday, February 14.
