Join Jennifer Lanthier as she shares stories from her adventures in Labrador during TD Canadian Children’s Book Week 2013 and from her recent trip to Mississippi to accept the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation’s 2013 New Writer Honor for her latest work, The Stamp Collector.

Jennifer Lanthier comes from a long line of librarians and fiction-lovers but has spent most of her career as a journalist writing non-fiction stories. Every job Jennifer has ever held depended on the ability to create a good story. And every job brought its own adventures, from riding in a presidential motorcade in case the president was assassinated, to interviewing Nobel prize winners, great actors, Olympic athletes, brilliant scientists, or a man who set a world record for sitting in a tub of baked beans.

Jennifer’s books include The Mystery of the Martello Tower, The Legend of the Lost Jewels and The Stamp Collector, winner of the 2013 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award in the Americas division.

Members* and public welcome.
* Members are reminded that they may appoint a proxy to attend the Annual General Meeting on their behalf. Any such appointment must be evidenced by a document in writing, signed by the member and received by CCBC prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
