FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Toronto (January 19, 2011) — The Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) is pleased to announce that Holly Kent has been hired in the newly-created position of Sales and Marketing Manager. In addition to promoting the Centre’s many programs including TD Canadian Children’s Book Week and the TD Grade One Book Giveaway, as well as publications such as the quarterly magazine Canadian Children’s Book News and the annual Best Books for Kids & Teen, Kent will work to develop new programs and promote the Centre’s mandate to support the reading, writing, illustrating and publishing of Canadian books for young readers.
Kent comes to the CCBC from Scholastic Canada where, as Promotions and Online Marketing Associate, she managed the company’s social media strategy and worked on several successful marketing campaigns including the recent ‘Pick-A-Munsch’ promotion.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Holly as part of the CCBC team”, says Charlotte Teeple, Executive Director. “We think that her previous experience and very-apparent talents will help to greatly expand the Centre’s goal of bringing Canadian children’s books to Canadian children”.
Holly Kent can be reached at 416 975-0010 ext. 221 and at holly@bookcentre.ca.
