Canadian Children’s Book Week 2020 Features All-Star Group of Authors and Illustrators


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Toronto (February 24th, 2020) — The Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) is excited to announce the touring creators for Canadian Children’s Book Week 2020. Seven talented Canadian authors and illustrators were selected from nearly 100 applicants to tour outside of their home provinces and share a love of reading with young people in schools and libraries.

Established in 1977, this year’s national tour will take place from May 2-9, 2020. This year’s theme is “Escape Into Reading,” which celebrates books as places we can always go for solace, adventure and familiar worlds and friends. Posters, bookmarks and activities are available for free online at bookweek.ca. Schools, libraries, bookstores and community centres interested in hosting readings can apply today at bookweek.ca.
