It is with deep sadness that we announce that children’s author Betty Waterton passed away on August 7 at the age of 88. Waterton was best known for her Canadian classic, A Salmon for Simon. Her other popular books include the Quincy Rumpel series, Pettranella, and A Bumblebee Sweater. Author of almost twenty children’s books, Waterton delighted children across the country for years with her interactive readings and presentations. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
