FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Toronto (June 28, 2012) – The Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) is pleased to announce the publication of the spring edition of Best Books for Kids & Teens 2012, the CCBC’s semi-annual selection guide to the best Canadian books for children and young adults. This respected guide contains over 265 titles for readers from toddler to teen.
All of the titles in Best Books for Kids & Teens have been handpicked by expert committees of educators, booksellers, school and public librarians from across Canada. The reviewed materials include picture books, junior/intermediate fiction, graphic novels, and powerful teen fiction, in addition to a wide array of non-fiction.
In March of 2012, the CCBC announced that Best Books for Kids & Teens was transitioning from an annual guide to a semi-annual guide in an effort to be more current and helpful as a selection tool. While this spring’s edition will feature titles published in 2011, the fall edition will highlight spring 2012 titles. The spring 2013 edition will review titles published in fall 2012.
CCBC members will receive this copy of Best Books for Kids & Teens as part of their membership package, as will subscribers to Canadian Children’s Book News.
Best Books for Kids & Teens can be purchased at select bookstores or online at www.bookcentre.ca.
