Alcuin Society’s Best-Designed Canadian Books of 2019 Announced

Vancouver, BC – The Alcuin Society has announced the winners of its 38th annual book design competition, The 2019 Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada. It was held Friday, October 2nd, 2020, at the Library Square Conference Centre @ Vancouver Public Library.

This year’s judges, Teresa Bubela, Emma Novotny, and Matt Warburton, selected 54 winning titles from 237 submissions, from 9 provinces and 112 publishers.

The Alcuin Society is a Vancouver based non-profit society for the support and appreciation of fine books. In addition to the annual book design competition, the Society publishes a journal, Amphora, and organizes lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and field visits on various aspects of the book.
