Story Lines And Colours

Story Lines And Colours is a solo exhibit by Genie Weinstein that features a selection of her artwork in the genre of children’s illustration.  The exhibit is open to the public during library hours.

Genie is a Toronto-based artist.  She started drawing at age 3 and had a book published commercially with her illustrations when she was still in her teens.  Her Lord Of The Rings pen-and-ink artwork can be found in a New Zealand travel guide by Lonely Planet and a collection of essays on J. R. R. Tolkien recently published in France.

Although Genie works in a variety of media, she especially enjoys combining the unpredictability of watercolour with the precision of black ballpoint pen to create illustrations that are fresh and playful, yet highly detailed.
