Richard Chase Memorial Author Tour featuring Susin Nielsen

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, the Richard Chase Memorial Author Tours are to be held in honour of one of our founding members Richard Chase, who passed away suddenly in November 2019. One of Richard’s most gratifying roles in his work with Rocky Mountain Book Award (RMBA) was to introduce children to “real authors.” These virtual author tours are designed to highlight RMBA’s exciting list of award-winning titles and authors.

For our inaugural event, Susin and Tait will have a virtual fireside chat that is moderated by RMBA’s committee member, Marnie Rogstad. Susin is a three-time gold medalist with RMBA, winning our 2020 Reader’s Choice Award with her newest novel, No Fixed Address. She previously won gold medals for Word Nerd (2010) and Dear George Clooney Please Marry My Mom (2012).

This event is open to all members of the community who love reading and support Canadian literature. We encourage you to tune in while you have dinner with your family, with your reading clubs, or for an exciting talk on your own!
