It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Tye. Through medical assistance in dying after a short battle with lung cancer, Judy passed away on August 9, 2019. Prior to her career as a teacher-librarian with various boards of education in Ontario, Judy was the Resources Coordinator for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre from 1981-1988. During her time at the CCBC, she was responsible for the library collection, chaired two Our Choice committees, coordinated two national illustrators’ tours, oversaw four Book Week launches and taught writing for children courses.

Donations in Judy’s name to the Stratford Symphony Orchestra on canadahelps.org would be greatly appreciated.
