Are you a published Canadian author or illustrator who is passionate about connecting with and inspiring young people?
Apply to take part in the 46th Canadian Children’s Book Week! This hybrid tour will allow you to engage with youth all across the country to celebrate books, stories and illustrations.
Canadian Children’s Book Week is the single most important national event celebrating Canadian books for kids and teens and the importance of reading.
Following up on the success of last year, Canadian Children’s Book Week/Tournée Lire à tout vent will again be a bilingual tour planned in tandem by the Canadian Children’s Book Centre and Communication-Jeunesse.
Our 2022 virtual tour taught us important lessons including surprising benefits to meeting virtually.
Although it is our intention to return to an in-person format for future tours, our spring 2023 tour will be a hybrid format.
With the hybrid format, a small number of regions will host in-person presentations while all other regions will host virtual presentations.
The upcoming tour will take place from April 30 to May 6, 2023, and will allow young readers to connect with highly acclaimed and emerging authors and illustrators. The deadline for applications is end of day on October 14, 2022.
