Information Book Award

Sponsored by the Children's Literature Roundtables of Canada, the Information Book Award is given to recognize an outstanding information book for children and young people 5 to 15 years of age written in English by a Canadian citizen. The book will be drawn from the following types: cultural, concept, life cycle, science, biography, history and geography. The book must have been published in Canada during the previous year by a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. The award carries a cash prize of $1000.
